You will find a drawbridge, a canon, and turrets because the Rubel Castle is quite different from other castles. Michael Rubel, the brain behind the castle, had more than twenty-five years to construct it. Within the Castle’s walls are various items. You will need to make reservations ahead even though they offer tours. Note that you will need a fair amount of standing and walking for tours. There are no handrails, and there are tunnels and stairs.

Aliso Creek Riding and Hiking Trail

From South Laguna, you will need to pass through the heart of Mission Viejo along an 18.5-mile corridor to Rancho Santa Margarita with your adventure at Aliso Creek Riding and Hiking. Enjoy many parks of the trail with plenty of kiosks and rest areas offering information and recounting its history. You will find the trail going uphill from the ocean end. Ride your back and catch the fun downhill ride. Leaving the Laguna Hills Drive behind, the trail turns to sand for ¼ of a mile. The trail route gives access to it in many ways. Several available parking includes El Toro Road near Marguerite Parkway, Heroes Park, El Toro Park, Sycamore Park, the battlefield off Woodfield Road, and Alma Road near Aliso Canyon Road.

North Redondo Beach Bikeway

You can link to Redondo Beach station in Los Angeles through the North Redondo Beach Bikeway’s signed bike route. You will come across shared low-stress streets with simple signage while there are designated bike lanes in some parts of the bikeway. There is also a lit, wide, and separated trail that runs for less than a mile on an overhead electric utility corridor, and you can commute through that section of Redondo Beach. Concerning access and parking at the trail, you can only find parking on local cross streets as the North Redondo Beach Bikeway doesn’t provide any dedicated parking areas.
